Houston, Texas – The city of Katy welcomed the grand opening of its fifth H-E-B store on Wednesday, located at 24924 Morton Ranch Road. The new Katy Park store opened its doors with much excitement, featuring gift card giveaways, a significant donation to the Katy Independent School District, and special pricing offers for the customers.
A New Shopping Destination in Katy
Spanning 117,000 square feet, the Katy Park H-E-B store stands as the cornerstone of The Market at Katy Park, a new retail hub that houses five additional buildings and has the capacity to welcome over 20 new shops. This latest addition to the H-E-B family maintains the familiar interior design seen across other Houston area locations but boasts one of the largest international sections across the company’s stores. A highlight for seafood lovers is the new walk-up seafood boil stand, offering selections such as shrimp, crawfish, crab, and lobster right at the store’s entrance.
Customers visiting the store can enjoy a variety of features, including a fresh meat market, seafood market, scratch bakery, tortilleria, an extensive craft beer and wine section, and a full-service pharmacy complete with a drive-thru. For added convenience, the store also provides a full-service H-E-B Fuel station.
Recognizing the needs of busy shoppers, the Katy Park location offers H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery services. These services enable customers to order groceries online for either pickup at the store’s curbside area, which includes 11 covered spaces, or for delivery straight to their home.
In a gesture of community support, H-E-B commemorated the store’s opening by donating $5,000 to the Katy ISD Miller Career and Technology Center’s culinary program. This contribution underscores H-E-B’s commitment to fostering educational opportunities and hands-on experiences for students interested in the restaurant and service industry.
With 508 employees, the majority of whom are Katy residents, the Katy Park store marks H-E-B’s 94th location in the Houston area. Open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. CT, this new store is set to become a key destination for Katy shoppers, offering a wide range of products and services tailored to meet their needs.
