Two People Have Been Charged With the Fatal Shooting of a 16-year-old Texas Girl.


COUNTY OF JEFFERSON, TEXAS  — Two people have been arrested in connection with a 16-year-old female’s shooting death.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 14000 block of Kolb’s Corner on Sunday, March 27, at approximately 5 p.m. to a complaint of a suspected homicide. Authorities reportedly discovered the body of 16-year-old Katelynn Nicole Stone of Vidor, Texas at the location.

Stone’s body was sent to the Jefferson County Morgue for an autopsy, according to the Sheriff’s Office. According to reports, the victim died of an apparent gunshot wound.

Cody Arnold, 22, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office at the residence where Stone was discovered. He was charged with murder and put into the Jefferson County Correction Facility on a $1 million bond, according to reports.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, detectives detained a second person four days later, on Thursday, March 31: 24-year-old Chelsea Ann-Marie Ship. She was apparently charged with murder and released on a $1 million bond from the Jefferson County Correction Facility.
