SAN ANTONIO, TX – The IRS is giving taxpayers one more opportunity for walk-in assistance without an appointment.
On Saturday, May 14, the San Antonio Taxpayer Assistance Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
According to IRS Spokesperson Michael Devine, the event will benefit taxpayers who require face-to-face assistance but do not have an appointment.
Appointments are required during the week, but on May 14, people are welcome to walk in; no appointments are required.
Visitors should bring current government-issued photo identification, social security cards or ITINs for dependents and spouses, and IRS letters or notices with them.
IRS employees will assist taxpayers who require assistance or have questions about their tax bill. Foreign language interpreters will also be on hand. The IRS will schedule appointments for deaf people who require sign language interpreters later. Individuals who have not filed their 2021 tax returns will be unable to obtain tax return assistance from the IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center.
