BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — As the filing deadline approaches, the Bakersfield office, located at 212 Coffee Road, Suite 200, will reopen on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for face-to-face assistance.

There is no need for an appointment. However, the agency will NOT prepare returns but will be able to assist with a variety of tax issues.

“We invite anyone who wishes or requires assistance to stop by,” said Ken Corbin, Commissioner of the IRS Wage & Investment Division and Taxpayer Experience Officer. “These additional weekend hours were created to make it easier for taxpayers to resolve an issue, inquire about their account, or work with the IRS if they are unable to meet an obligation. In any case, face-to-face assistance will be available without an appointment on this special day.”
