BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (BRPROUD) — Louisiana residents who have yet to file and pay their 2021 state individual taxes have one more week to do so.
The deadline to file and pay these taxes is Monday, May 16, according to a recent news release from the Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR).

The state’s free web portal for individual tax filers is usually the simplest way to file and pay. Louisiana File Online is the web portal, and it can be found here.
Taxpayers can also use tax preparation software or print state returns, which are available here, to submit their returns.
If a taxpayer requires additional time to prepare their returns, they can apply for a filing extension here.
According to LDR, extension requests must be submitted by May 16, and a request does not grant additional time to pay any unpaid taxes.
