Las Vegas, Nevada (KSNV) — The tax filing season is over, but the IRS wants to continue assisting the community with any other tax questions that may arise.
On Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the downtown Las Vegas Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TACs) will be open to assist anyone who does not have an appointment.
TAC offices are usually only open by appointment on weekdays, so the community will have limited access to them.
“We’re offering Saturday office hours so people can get the help they need,” said Ken Corbin, Taxpayer Experience Officer and Commissioner of the IRS Wage & Investment Division.
“We recognize and understand that not everyone is able to attend an appointment during regular business hours.”
Individuals planning to visit the office should bring the following information with them:
- Current government-issued photo identification, as well as Social Security cards for all members of their household, including their
- spouse and dependents (if applicable),
Anyone requesting identity verification services must bring two forms of identification and a copy of the tax return filed for the year in question, if they filed one.
The IRS may also request the following information during the visit:
- A current mailing address, as well as bank account information, are required to receive payments or refunds via Direct Deposit.
- The IRS office in Las Vegas is located at 110 City Parkway in the heart of the city.
