New Delhi: Indian Minister of Foreign Affairs S. Jaishankar (S. Jaishankar) is on a four-day visit to Moscow to attend the meeting of foreign ministers. The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that the foreign ministers of Russia, India and China (RIC) will meet in Moscow.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi (Wang Yi) will meet three times today. This meeting of foreign ministers of the two countries takes place as there are tensions between India and China over the LAC in eastern Ladakh.
Foreign Minister S Jaishankar will meet his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi for the first time at the Shanghai Corporation Organization foreign ministers meeting today. After that, India, China and Russia will also have foreign ministers at lunch. After that, there will be a bilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of India and China in the evening. The evening meeting will be the first face-to-face meeting between the foreign ministers of the two countries following the tensions that started in May over the LAC.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi (Wang Yi) will also hold bilateral meetings with the respective SCO member states. In addition, he will participate in the official lunch organized for the RIC Foreign Ministers.
The foreign ministers of these three countries meet from time to time to discuss bilateral, regional and international interests according to the rules established by the ICN.
However, Zhao said he was not aware of the timing of the RIC foreign ministers meeting.
Let us tell you that the SCO was created in 2001 by Russia, China, the Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan at a summit in Shanghai.
In 2005, India and Pakistan were accepted as observers to the group. Later in 2017, the two countries were approved as full members of the bloc.
