Five States Are Issuing a Fourth Stimulus Check in the Form of Tax Refunds


Currently, five states in the United States have passed legislation that would provide people with a fourth stimulus check. This is an attempt to relieve the financial stress that Americans are feeling as a result of rising inflation.

Residents in five states will receive a fourth stimulus payment.

Idaho: sends $75 or 12% of state taxes paid by its citizens, whichever is greater. The money comes from $350 million set aside by the governor when the bill was passed. Payments began at the end of March of this year.

To be eligible, you must have filed an Idaho tax return for the years 2020 and 2021. You must be a full-time resident who has previously submitted a return for a grocery credit refund.

Georgia residents who filed their state income taxes for 2020 and 2021 will be reimbursed. This funding is provided by the state’s budget surplus. The payments range from $250 to $500. Single filers can receive $250, heads of households can receive $375, and married filers can receive $500.

Indiana is sending a credit of $125 from its surplus state budget.

Single taxpayers in New Mexico will receive a $250 rebate, while married filers will receive a $500 refund. The eligibility requirements include income thresholds of $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for married couples.
