Governor Wolf’s office stated in a news release that “the cost of everything from gasoline to food is increasing.” For Pennsylvanians who live paycheck to paycheck, this can mean making difficult choices.”

“While Pennsylvanians deserve assistance and a chance to succeed, my Republican colleagues have over $2 billion in federal funds that will have to be returned if they do not pass a plan,” the governor stated. A payment in the amount of $2,000 was made under this heading.

According to The Sun, under the Pennsylvania Opportunity Plan, households with annual incomes of less than $80,000 would receive a one-time $2,000 payment.
