Certain Oregon Residents Are Eligible for $600 Payments
The Oregon Legislature recently enacted House Bill 4157, which provides a one-time $600 payment to Oregon households that got an Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) on their 2020 tax return. The one-time payment will be sent no later than July 31, 2022.
If you submitted a 2020 Oregon tax return by December 31, 2021 and received an Oregon EITC, you will automatically receive your payout via direct deposit or check. The payments are not taxable in Oregon and will not be applied to qualified households’ state and federal debt.

Taxpayers who were eligible for the EITC in 2020 but did not claim it on their return may amend their 2020 federal and Oregon returns by April 15, 2022, to claim the EITC and remain eligible for the one-time aid payment. Taxpayers who miss this deadline and did not get an Oregon EITC will not be paid.
