TOKYO, Japan– Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki said on Friday that the Japanese government is not considering putting together a new economic stimulus package because it is focused on pushing the fiscal 2022 budget through parliament.
The remark was made during a normal news conference, and it came amid growing calls from politicians for more fiscal stimulus to help offset the economic impact of rising energy prices
