A Texas Mother Was Arrested After Blaming Her 3-year-old Son’s Death on Road Rage!

A Texas woman who claimed her 3-year-old son was slain in a road rage shooting was arrested Thursday on a charge of child endangerment, authorities said.

According to a Dallas police affidavit, Lacravivonne Monique Washington, 26, kept a firearm in her sport utility vehicle where it was accessible to her unrestrained children, ages 2-4.

Washington brought her son Jalexus Washington to Medical City of Dallas hospital on Monday with a gunshot wound to the head. The youngster died, and his mother informed authorities that he had been shot in a road rage incident by an unknown person.

At the area specified by the mother, investigators discovered no evidence of a road-rage gunshot. They did, however, discover a revolver in the glove compartment of Washington’s vehicle, which lacked child restraints, according to the affidavit.

According to the complaint, Washington told officers that her children were climbing back and forth from the back seat to the front seat when she heard two gunshots and saw her son injured.

An autopsy found that the boy’s wound was covered in powder burns. This suggested that he had been shot at close range, ruling out a road rage shooting, according to the affidavit.
